What is the perfect recipe for a robust Product culture at your organization?

A culture of brilliance within your product team can help to garner the confidence & belief of your team members. A robust & healthy culture can act as a perfect platform to launch your team for success & growth.

In order to develop that culture, you can try to adopt the below approaches :

1️. Customer obsession at its core

An organization driven by product & technology need to ensure that they have a deep & thorough understanding of the customers. A PM can capture the pain points of the customer using the methodology mentioned in the below article :

2. Double down on cooperation

A robust culture has its root in the deep cooperation & collaboration among the PMs. It’s imperative that the overall success of the product rely on each PM working towards a common goal & coordinate effectively to ensure that all the gaps are addressed & customer experience is kept intact across various journeys. Building a rapport among your peers based on your excellent skillset can ensure that you are trusted and respected among your colleagues.

3. Channelize accountability through ownership

Motivating your team members to be accountable for a specific north star metric or their respective product KPIs can help to make quicker decisions & innovate to hit the organization's goals.

Regular check-in with your team members in order to cascade the leadership thought process & sharing the goals & their rationale in a transparent manner can assist the PMs in your team to be on the same page at all times. This creates a culture of transparency & trust.

4. Create a unique team

It’s often difficult but essential to ensure that your team is an amalgamation of a diverse set of individuals. Apart from embracing basic diversity in terms of gender, age, religion, etc., you should try to have folks from different professional backgrounds. Collaborating with a diverse team can help to provide a different point of view which can serve as a building block while creating products for the masses.
