The 5-Point Mobile UX Design Checklist
Here is a simple Mobile UX Design Checklist to follow while designing digital products.
1. Prioritize the main task
Example:- A user fire up the Paytm app to make the payment to a vendor or a friend. The use case is very common & apparent. As a result , Paytm showcase the “Pay” option so prominent & easy for users to consume.
2. Consistency & Proximity of Controls
Example:- In the Dunzo app, icons in the bottom drawer — Home , Search & Order are in consistent size, color & shape. Similarly , the categories icons such as Food delivery , Medicines , Paan Shop , etc. are using same color combination & grouped under one section making it consistent and clear.
3. Follow Visual hierarchy
Example:- Airbnb App offers a simple & neat design ensuring that the homestay images are on the top followed by Rating /Reviews & location. It displays the detail of the host & the amenities offered by the homestay thus making the content flow very user friendly.
4. Color Contrast selection
Example:- Uber is one of the best example in this space . The black & white color selection is very dominant & visuals are popping out of the screen ; starting from the Map view to the ride options. This color contrast is easy on the eyes & doesn’t require additional efforts to interpret.
5. Untaught icons
Example:- Once you open the Runkeeper app ; starting from its icon , name & Homepage — it’s all tied to one simple task of tracking the run or cycling . Since it’s a task oriented app so it helps the user to quickly recognize it in the Google Playstore & thus assist adoption.
