It is often assumed that PMs should prepare the PRDs holistically & include all Non-functional requirements. In this article, I will cover the below topics :

  • What are NFRs?
  • What are key Non-functional requirements?
  • Example of NFRs KPIs

What are NFRs?

In systems engineering and requirements engineering, a non-functional requirement (NFR) is a requirement that specifies criteria that can be used to judge the operation of a system, rather than specific behaviors.

Benchmarks are used to validate if the implementation satisfies the requirements or not. The developers write a set of unit tests while writing the code in order to measure it against defined benchmarks.
